About ANIQO & BIRTH
ANIQO is the musical project of Berlin-based singer, composer, and poet Anita Goß. Her music moves between dark art pop, spiritual folk, and cinematic songwriting. With an intense voice, a clear artistic stance, and plenty of space for emotion, she creates sonic landscapes that resonate – sometimes fragile, sometimes resolute. Inspired by artists such as Nina Simone, Marianne Faithfull, Mitski, Sharon Van Etten, and David Bowie, ANIQO tells stories of inner transformation, the longing for light, and the strength found in letting go.
Following her internationally noted debut BIRTH (2022), ANIQO now stands at the beginning of a new artistic chapter. Her upcoming album Earth, Love and Variations is currently in the making in collaboration with Bill Ryder-Jones (The Coral) in England and is set to be released in early 2026.
The album marks a departure from darkness and a turn toward clarity, spirituality, and hope – thematically dedicated to love in all its forms: from self-love as a foundation to universal love.
